Research links omega-3 to colon cancer protection

A study found that white people in the top fourth of omega-3 consumption had half the colon cancer risk of those in the bottom fourth. The study found an "unexpected" link between higher omega-3 intake and colon cancer in African-Americans, but researchers said the association may be due to chance.
