Federal regulations on fracking coming "very shortly," EPA says

Federal regulations on hydraulic fracturing, particularly on the use of diesel fuel in the natural gas-extraction process, will come "very shortly," said Lisa Jackson, administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency. The Safe Drinking Water Act, which exempts most fracking activities from EPA's oversight, places diesel under the agency's regulatory authority, Jackson said.
