Japan summit seeks to develop animal relief protocols

A summit slated for May 2 to 3 in Japan will focus on ways to help animals displaced or injured by the recent earthquake, tsunami and nuclear power plant disaster in the country. The summit, organized by International Fund for Animal Welfare, will include topics such as animal rescue and evacuation strategies, radiation exposure, wildlife rehabilitation, animal sheltering and decontamination.
