Labor Department targets eateries in Florida county

The Labor Department plans to make unannounced visits to up to 60 Hillsborough County, Fla., restaurants in search of violations of child-labor rules and federal wage and hour laws. Officials from the department's Tampa office say scores of eateries in the area violate wage laws by requiring servers to work only for tips, incorrectly calculating overtime pay and making illegal deductions from employees' paychecks.
