African traders seek risky bargains in China

Nigerian traders are descending on Guangzhou and other Chinese cities in search of cheap products that they can ship home and sell at a profit. There are plenty of bargains to be had, but the traders are increasingly being targeted by Chinese muggers and con-men. "The producers are in the informal sector, so you'll have to pay cash. People know about that and can take advantage," says one trade expert.
