Avery Dennison executive talks food packaging

Sneh Shah of packaging firm Avery Dennison said food makers are interested in packaging that is sustainable and interactive, while keeping the focus on function, food safety and cost effectiveness. "While innovation is at the forefront of packaging, many customers and consumers are still looking for the biggest bang for their buck coming out of the recession," she said. Shah said companies can reduce packaging and waste by looking at the entire supply chain an working with suppliers and consumers.
