FDA warns against combining Merck's Victrelis with some HIV drugs

The FDA is revising the label of Merck & Co.'s Victrelis, a recently approved hepatitis C treatment, to warn about the drug's co-administration with certain HIV medicines. Taking Victrelis with some HIV drugs, including Norvir, might lessen their effectiveness and increase the level of either virus, the agency said.
