Lawmakers resist Pentagon proposal to increase Tricare fees

Retired service members and their families should pay higher fees for their Tricare health-insurance benefits, said Navy and Army personnel officials testifying before a Senate subcommittee Wednesday. Earlier, a House subcommittee announced a budget plan that didn't include the fee increases recommended by the Pentagon. Key legislators in the Senate are also reportedly against the fee increases.
