New Google ad model links e-mail and display formats

Google is testing a novel ad format that allows e-mail marketers to connect campaigns to paid-search advertising. A clickable "Get offers" box displayed within search ads will allow users to sign up for subscription e-mails. Reliable-SEO's Terry Van Horne calls it a cost-per-action model. Google earlier had tested a "Subscribe to newsletter" button, but has expanded it to include such items as coupon offers.
