Physician pay reflects administrative duties, quality metrics

Payment plans for physicians increasing are reflecting their added administrative roles, such as monitoring quality of care, a Medical Group Management Association survey found. This year's survey also asked physicians to report pay tied to quality metrics, and pulmonary medicine doctors reported an 80% difference in stipends based on whether or not quality was part of their duties.
