"Reality Store" teaches students about money management

Sophomores at Heritage High School in Lynchburg, Va., learned about money management when they recently participated in a "Reality Store" simulation with the city's Cooperative Extension office. Each student was assigned a life role and a fixed income, which they used to "shop" for food, child care, insurance and more. "It seems hard," said sophomore Amber Waller. "I don't think I'm ready for reality."
