Americans of all ages report checking their social media accounts more frequently than their personal bank accounts, according to a survey by the AICPA and Harris Interactive. Seventeen percent of 18- to 34-year-olds and 14% of 35- to 44-year-olds check their bank accounts daily. That compares with 54% and 34% who said they check social media at least once every day. The poll was commissioned in honor of financial-literacy month.
