Brachytherapy benefits patients with anal cancer, study finds

A brachytherapy boost benefits patients with anal cancer who have had radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy, French researchers report. The study found patients receiving a brachytherapy boost had better control and few toxic side effects and that local efficacy was a strong predictor of survival.
