Mother and daughter bond in the cockpit

Teenager Amy White began to pursue her pilot's license after her first flight with the Young Eagles. Her mother, out of concern for her daughter, decided she would learn to fly, too. "I would like to learn how to land," she admitted to her daughter's instructor, "just in case something happened to Amy." Amy completed her first solo flight in June, with her mother following at the end of the year.
