Pa. district to require public-school students to wear uniforms

The Allentown, Pa., school board has voted 6-2 to require students to wear uniforms to school. Parents will be required to provide uniforms, which officials said likely would cost between $60 and $100 for two outfits. The district will provide uniforms to students whose families cannot afford them, but officials said the process of establishing a clothing bank and securing donations is underway.
