Vending machines turn to healthy snack alternatives

Following on the reduced-fat, low-carb trails of restaurant menus and grocery stores, vending companies are adding yogurt, smoothies and fruit to refrigerated snack machines. Low Carb Vending has three Atkins-friendly machines in the Washington, D.C., area, while Pure Foods, based in California, is offering sugar-free and low-fat items, along with organic snacks.
