Boeing books Air India order, but deal needs government approval

Air India will buy 35 long-range jetliners from Boeing in a deal worth $5.8 billion, based on list prices. Air India will order 20 Boeing 787s, bringing total orders for the plane to 237. The order, which still needs approval from the Indian government, is another blow to European jetmaker Airbus. Earlier this week, Boeing booked a large Air Canada order.
