Caribbean officials: Passport rules may harm tourism-dependent countries

New rules requiring Americans to show a passport to re-enter the U.S. from destinations such as the Caribbean may harm the vital tourism industries of poor countries in that region, officials say. The head of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourism Association said he fears "the Americans may just say 'what the hell' and go somewhere else" when the new rules are implemented starting Dec. 31.
