Obituary: Woman advocated for college students with disabilities

Ann Thompson died this month at the age of 77 after a lifetime of advocating for Washington state residents with disabilities. Thompson, who used a wheelchair after a childhood bout with polio, headed Central Washington University's services for students with disabilities, where she arranged for sign language interpreters and physical accommodations as well as helping graduates find jobs with understanding employers.
