L.A. has high hopes for green manufacturing corridor

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa has proposed transforming an industrial parcel into a manufacturing corridor focused on clean technology. The plans call for reducing carbon emissions in the 2,236-acre area by 35%. At this point, more than 100 businesses have expressed interest in locating to the corridor, which will also include a research center focused on renewable energy and climate change.
