Study: BSGI can change management of breast cancer patients

A U.S. study found that the surgical management in 22% of 82 patients who were newly diagnosed with breast cancer was changed based on the results of breast-specific gamma imaging. The finding suggests that BSGI could be used to detect breast cancers that might have been undetected with standard imaging.
