Thain tries to rebuild reputation, attacks BofA

Former Merrill Lynch & Co. Chief Executive Officer John Thain is trying to restore his reputation by publicly blasting Bank of America, which ousted him in January. Thain claims Bank of America lied about its role in a flap over bonuses and salaries that led to Thain's firing. "Getting fired is one thing. But nobody has the right to say things that they know aren't true," Thain said.
