Thermo Fisher, Biolab in $120M acquisition deal

Thermo Fisher Scientific has agreed to acquire Biolab for $120 million. Biolab, an Australian distributor of analytical instruments for molecular imaging and other fields, will be integrated into Thermo Fisher's Laboratory Products and Services Segment. The acquisition will strengthen Thermo Fisher's position in the markets in Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, said President and CEO Marijn Dekkers.
