Wildfire Interactive, a startup specializing in tools used to run Facebook promotions, is enjoying success -- and attracting investors -- thanks to the corporate social-marketing boom. CEO Victoria Ransom and her co-founder were early Facebook adopters at a prior company they started. "We were inspired by our own personal need," Ransom says. "We have a travel company and were thinking, 'How are we going to promote this?'" Wildfire started with a $250,000 grant from Facebook, and now its quiz and coupon applications have attracted clients, including firms like Pepsi and Victoria's Secret.
