Survey: Companies are falsely confident on security

While nearly three out of four organizations surveyed by the Ponemon Institute for Accenture reported that they think their data security is sufficient, 58% say they have had data compromised within the past two years. The most common causes were worker error and system failures. According to the report, improved information security will require standards of data protection, as well as cultural shifts within organizations.
