Wal-Mart faces class-action suit in gender-discrimination case

A federal appeals court has certified one of the largest class-action suits in U.S. legal history, giving as many as 1.5 million women the go-ahead to sue Wal-Mart for gender discrimination. In statements after the ruling, Wal-Mart lawyers said they would consider appealing the decision to the Supreme Court.
