L.A. charters urged to accommodate more students with special needs

The Los Angeles Unified School District has launched an effort to help make families of children with special needs aware of their rights to enroll their children in charter schools, says district official Sharyn Howell, who discussed the matter Tuesday at CEC's national conference.
