Lincoln Center strives to perfect the art of lawn care in NYC

Lincoln Center, the performing arts complex in New York City, wants to keep its 7,203-square-foot lawn lush and healthy, and has enlisted the help of experts. A turf grass scientist and an architectural firm recommended a combination of tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass for the site, because the grass is heat-tolerant and requires less maintenance. A perforated polyethylene cellular mat known as geoweb is placed underneath the turf to keep it in place.
