Study: Children with egg allergies can safely receive flu vaccine

Researchers reported in the Journal of Allergy & Clinical Immunology that the flu vaccine, which is usually produced using chicken eggs, did not trigger serious reactions in patients, mostly young children, with egg allergies. "The results of this study, combined with others, suggest that most kids with egg allergy can probably receive the flu vaccine safely," said senior researcher Dr. Susan Laubach.
