If you want to revamp your organization, hold off on forming a strategy, John Kotter says in a video with this blog post. Many executives make the mistake of gathering data and devising a plan for their initiatives before they have buy-in from their teams. It's difficult to make big changes if too few people are involved in the process, Kotter says.
