FCC votes to require TV stations to put political ad files online

The FCC on Friday approved rules requiring TV stations to provide online information about political ads they carry, with a phase-in period. The commission's action came despite pleas from station owners. Stations in the top 50 markets that are affiliated with the four leading networks must comply first, and other stations will have until the middle of 2014 to meet the new requirements.
