Studies show worldwide prevalence of lactose intolerance

While about 2% of people of Northern European descent are lactose intolerant, the problem afflicts about 95% of Asians, nearly 100% of Native Americans and as many as 80% of Hispanics and blacks. Over-the-counter pills containing lactase can ease symptoms.
