Time Warner Cable says it is open to acquiring Dodgers rights

Time Warner Cable, which will kick off two regional sports networks later in 2012 built around the Los Angeles Lakers, the Los Angeles Galaxy and the Los Angeles Sparks, is open to pursuing rights to the Los Angeles Dodgers or other teams as they become available, said Glenn Britt, the MSO's chairman and CEO. "[I]f we think we can buy them for a price that makes sense for us over the long run, we'll do that. ... Obviously there has been a lot of press around the sale of the Dodgers. Who knows what might happen with their media rights? If those become available and are offered to us, we'll take a look at them," Britt said.
