Studies: Supplements do not strengthen bones of elderly

Two U.K. studies involving more than 8,000 people indicate the use of vitamin D and calcium supplements does not help strengthen the bones of elderly people or prevent injury from falls. "We need to consider other strategies," said a University of Aberdeen professor who led one study.
