Mohamed El-Erian, the former head of Pimco's emerging market department, is the new man in charge of Harvard's $26 billion endowment. He has a tough act to follow -- he's replacing Jack Meyer, the legendary institutional investor who posted average annual returns of nearly 16% for 15 years.
