Foiled with 3Com, China's Huawei plots U.S. entry

After the U.S. government's denial on national-security grounds of China's Huawei Technologies' proposed investment in 3Com, officials at the telecom-equipment company said it still planned on leading a parade of Chinese manufacturers who want to compete with the likes of Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks and Alcatel-Lucent.
