TransCanada plans massive expansion of Keystone pipeline

TransCanada has not begun building its $5.2 billion Keystone oil pipeline from Alberta to Illinois and Oklahoma, but it is already talking about a major expansion. Keystone Stage 2 would include an extension to the Gulf of Mexico as well as a massive new pipeline from Alberta to Nebraska. Keystone 1 aims to transport up to 590,000 barrels a day. The expanded Keystone line from Alberta would be able to transport another 750,000 barrels a day.
