Study finds drop in paid search, rise in click-through rate

The average number of paid search clicks in the first quarter dropped 9% against the same period last year, and the average cost per click fell 7%, NetElixir reports. But the average click-through rate rose 7.5% compared with 2008, and the average search-ad conversion rate increased 5%, according to the research.
