Electronics remain a hot Mother's Day gift item

CE devices will be a hot-ticket item for Mother's Day as spouses and children are forecast to buy $906 million in CE-related gifts this year, a 5.7% increase over last year, according to research firm BIGresearch, which predicts the average shopper will buy $87.70 of CE products, up from $76.41 in 2009. IBISWorld, another research firm, has a slightly different forecast, calling for CE spending to reach $970 million.
