Maybe it's a sign of declining demand for knot-tying skills, but the Boy Scouts have re-launched an Entrepreneurship merit badge, which was first quietly introduced in 1997. Problem-solving skills and entrepreneurial thinking are great, Maria Popova writes, but the true value of the badge is that it "validates geekiness as a proverbial -- and now physical -- badge of honor, much-needed vindication for us geeky kids everywhere."
