FAA seeks fine against Republic unit

Chautauqua Airlines failed to perform adequate safety inspections on its aircraft, the FAA charged Tuesday. The agency is seeking to collect a $348,000 fine against the regional carrier. The company, a division of Republic Airways Holdings, has 30 days to respond to the FAA's findings.
