Letter backs La. proposal to ban gas chambers in animal euthanasia

This letter to the editor is advocating a bill in Louisiana that would bar the use of gas chambers or intracardiac injections to euthanize animals, saying they inflict unnecessary pain. According to the letter, AVMA says, "Intracardiac injection is acceptable only when performed on heavily sedated, anesthetized or comatose animals."
