Researchers to evaluate medication errors linked to CPOE

A research project led by the Center for Patient Safety Research and Practice at Brigham and Women's Hospital will investigate errors that have been linked to computerized physician order entry. The study, which will use Quantros' MEDMARX database, aims to "better understand CPOE, the technology that has been proven to improve medication safety and evaluate potential problems to make sure that we identify and uproot those problems in the best possible ways," one of the project's lead researchers said.
