Arched concrete Colorado River bridge is a span worth celebrating

America may be struggling to improve its aging infrastructure, but there have been advances worth celebrating. Among them, the new span over the Colorado River, which now owns the title of highest and longest arched concrete bridge in the Western Hemisphere and is supported by the world's tallest concrete columns of their kind. The bridge alleviates the traffic congestion on -- and provides a great view of -- Hoover Dam.
