Army resists additional spending on Abrams tanks

Lawmakers are pushing the Army to spend an extra $436 million on upgrading the Abrams tank, an effort that Army officials say is unnecessary. "If we had our choice, we would use that money in a different way," said Gen. Ray Odierno, the Army's chief of staff.
