Utah transitions to computer-adaptive testing

Utah's schools will next year transition to computer-adaptive testing, which will become progressively more difficult as students answer questions correctly -- and easier if they are struggling. The Student Assessment of Growth and Excellence exams will be administered next spring and are expected to include fewer multiple-choice questions, and provide teachers with more accurate and detailed information about students' skills.
