Restaurant chains including Chick-fil-A, Red Lobster and Cracker Barrel often test new menu items in Orlando first. The Florida city's diverse population, wealth of chain restaurants and millions of annual tourists make it the perfect testing ground, experts say, and it's likely that the area's eateries will boast even more experimental dishes in the coming months as chains look to new items to help them cater to changing tastes, said Technomic's Darren Tristano.
