Why one Ill. district is leaving its regional cooperative

An Illinois school district is pulling out of its decades-old special-education cooperative to provide consolidated services within the district. The school district and co-op organizers say the separation is amicable and that school districts sometime leave regional co-ops when they grow large enough to offer in-house services in a cost-effective manner.
