Nurses are in demand as employers look to hire college grads

A National Association of Colleges and Employers survey has found that employers plan to hire 8.6% more college graduates this spring than they did in 2013, and Mardy Ashe of Western Carolina University says nursing grads are among those in high demand. Sheila Meadows of Mission Hospital in Asheville, N.C., says the hospital has hired three people already from the Class of 2014 and plans to hire 40 new graduate nurses this summer.
