Small study finds oxytocin spike in dog and goat at play

Researchers report a dog and goat pair playing together experienced an increase in oxytocin levels similar to what occurs in humans associated with a romantic partner, good friends or kindness. Scientists tested oxytocin levels in the goat and dog before and after putting the two together to play for 15 minutes. The dog's oxytocin jumped 48% while the goat had a 210% oxytocin increase.
